The most comprehensive babysitting course you can take online.
Same price as the Red Cross. Full refund in 14 days if you have not taken the test.

Three things this certificate does for you.
Not a certificate for the fridge. Things you can use on your very next job.
You stay calm when something goes wrong
A kid chokes. Spikes a fever. Falls off the couch. You will already know what to do in the first sixty seconds, because you practiced it before it happened.
You get paid what the job is actually worth
You will know the real hourly rate for your area and the number of kids you are watching — and exactly what to say when a parent hesitates.
Parents pick you over the other sitter
Your certificate sits on a page they can open and check in seconds. Every other sitter is just telling them they are good with kids.
Everything you need to know, from newborns to twelve-year-olds.
Feeding, sleep, safety, behavior, emergencies and getting paid. Six classes, every age you will ever be asked to look after.
Handle an emergency without panicking
Choking, fevers, allergic reactions, injuries. What to do first — and when to call 911 instead of the parents.
Get a toddler to bed without a fight
Routines that actually work, for every age from newborn to twelve.
Say your price out loud and stick to it
Know your number for your area and family size, and what to say when they hesitate.
Give parents proof you are trained
A page they can open and check. No other babysitting course gives you this.
Written by an early childhood educator, and checked against current US guidance.
Most babysitting courses are written once and never checked against anything. This one is written by an early childhood educator, follows current American Heart Association and Poison Control guidance on emergencies, and goes to outside specialists before the video ships.
Written by an early childhood educator
Age-by-age care, routines and behavior, written by an early childhood educator rather than assembled from other people’s blog posts.
Follows current US guidance
Choking, allergic reactions and the 911 thresholds follow current American Heart Association and Poison Control guidance, including the 2025 choking update.
Going to outside specialists
The emergency and behavior classes go to a registered nurse and a licensed therapist before the October video release. We will publish their names and dates when that happens — not before.

The sitters who earn the most aren’t always the best with kids.
Getting certified makes you good at the job. This makes you the sitter your neighborhood recommends — using the same things real businesses use to win clients, rewritten for someone who babysits.

Look up a babysitter’s certificate in seconds.
Every certificate has a number. Type it in and see what they finished, when, and what they had to score to pass.

Written by someone who has actually looked after other people’s kids.
I taught preschool. I built this because the babysitting courses I looked at were thin — a slideshow, a quiz you cannot fail, and a PDF certificate. Some charge $95 for that, from a page that will not even tell you who wrote it.
So this one covers what actually happens: the toddler who will not go to sleep, the allergy plan you have to read properly, the moment you have to choose between calling 911 and calling the parents.
Who should get a babysitting certificate?

New sitters
You want your first jobs, you want to sound like you know what you are doing, and you are probably charging too little.

Career sitters
Sitting is real money for you. You need the certificate, the contracts, and a way to keep good families.

Families hiring
Check a sitter’s certificate, see what fair pay looks like where you live, or buy the course for a sitter you trust.
Babysitting certification questions, answered.
Is this better than the Red Cross babysitting course?
They are both $45 and both good. Ours is longer, has a pass mark we publish, was approved by a nurse, an educator and a therapist, and gives parents a page where they can check your certificate. The Red Cross has a bigger name. Compare them above and decide.
How much does babysitting certification cost?
Ours is $45 — the same as the Red Cross. Some sites charge $95 or more for a one-hour course.
How long does it take?
Six classes, written out in full. Most people take a few evenings over it. You can stop and come back — it saves where you got to.
How old do you have to be?
It is written for ages 13 and up. If you are under 18, a parent signs off when you sign up.
Is this a babysitting license?
No. There is no such thing as a babysitting license in the US. Anyone selling you one is not being straight with you. This is a certificate that shows you finished the course and passed.
What if I fail?
You get three tries. After that you wait a week and redo the module first. We do not let you retake it forever — a test you cannot fail is not worth passing.
Does it expire?
After two years, same as the Red Cross. Renewing is a short refresher, not the whole course again.
Can my parent buy it for me?
Yes. They pay, you use the code, and the certificate is yours.
